Checked into our room late, only to find it was not cleaned. There were food remnants, messy sheets, and towels strewn on the floor. After waiting over an hour for cleaning, the room was better but still had stained towels and hair in the bathroom. Attempted to speak with management, but received no response.

The mid-century architecture of this place adds a nostalgic charm, especially with its courtyard pool surrounded by lush greenery. Spacious suites come newly remodeled, featuring full kitchens and balconies that overlook the pool—perfect for larger groups.
You might want to keep an ear out for noise as the windows are single glazed, making traffic sounds a constant companion if you're near the front. Some facilities show their age, especially the pool area, which could use a good clean-up. leaves and debris were noticeable. If you enjoy tall showers, you might find the low shower heads a bit of a hassle, especially if you’re on the taller side.

I enjoyed my time at Highland Gardens. The location is perfect for visiting local attractions, just a short walk from the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Magic Castle. My suite was newly remodeled, spacious, and very clean. The courtyard pool was a lovely spot to relax with beautiful landscaping. Staff members were friendly and attentive, which made the stay even better. The only downside was that the noise from the street could be disruptive at times. It sometimes made it hard to sleep peacefully. Overall, a pleasant stay with some minor distractions.

We had the best time at this spot, I mean, the pool was just perfect for a midday dip after long days. Plus, my room had this retro feel, just like something from a movie set—clean, spacious, and the kitchenette? So useful for late-night snacks after hard work.
Not the cheapest around, but worth every penny.

We enjoyed our stay, especially the quick access to Hollywood hotspots like the Magic Castle, where we marveled at exclusive events and breathtaking magicians. Plus, traveling with our non-service dog was a breeze, making our family trip more enjoyable.
My children wanted a cleaner pool area. A little upkeep would go a long way for families.
